The Blueberry is a condenser microphone with all the properties that a vocal microphone needs! With the Blueberry you can count on your vocals to become an integral part of the mix, which is what they should be! Vocals will stand their ground, even with a lot of compression.
The Blueberry is designed for close use (5 to 7 cm), allowing you to create a track with highly present vocals. In order to counter the proximity effect, a light roll-off in the lower frequencies is provided, resulting in a microphone that features the intimate, spacious response of a vintage mic, but is so powerful that vocals cut through the mix, even in busy and heavy mixes. It's perfect for contemporary pop and hip-hop recordings.
The Blueberry can also be used for percussion recordings - thanks to the fast response, the attack is well reproduced. Percussion instruments like tambourines and cowbells sound better when they're registered at a larger distance than vocals. Even the subtle details of Tibetan singing bowls and musical stones are picked up by the Blueberry.
