General

The Neumann USM 69 i has been outfitted with two capsules, five selectable pickup patterns and two independent signal paths, making this high-end stereo condenser microphone ideal for X/Y, M/S and Blumlein set-ups. The second capsule can also serve as a backup by aiming both capsules forward and turning the gain of one of the capsules down so that, if the musician plays louder than expected, there's always a second, undistorted take to work with.
