Features of the U87 Ai

Using the switch on the front, you can choose between three different directional characteristics, namely: cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8. For loud audio sources such as electric guitar amplifiers and drums, the U87 Ai features a -10 dB attenuator to ensure your recordings are free of distortion and clipping. Finally, you can prevent proximity effects and other unwanted noise in the low frequencies with the built-in high-pass filter.
