General

Microphones from the first half of the 20th century remain extremely sought-after due to their magical sound. Founder of Roswell Pro Audio, Matt McGlynn knows that magic has nothing to do with it — it's simply about combining the right parts. The Roswell Mini K47x packs the same warm-and-detailed sound as some of the most famous models ever made, without the noise, distortion and maintenance costs that come with real vintage microphones. Here, the output is also balanced by a transformer to ensure subtly saturated loud notes à la the natural compression of tape recorders. Not only that, the Mini K47 saves you from having to fuss with de-essers and EQs since there's not even a hint of sharpness in the higher mid range, making this pair of condensers ideal for recording drums and pianos as part of an overhead set-up.
