General
With its Flagstaff Sunset finish and great vintage looks, the Gretsch G2622LH Streamliner Center Block takes left-handed guitarists straight back to the golden age of jazz and rock 'n roll. Its arched top is fitted with a V Stoptail, an Adjusto-Matic bridge and two humbuckers, and hides a centre block that reduces feedback. Whoever thought that lefties should always put practical matters over looks when choosing a guitar obviously hasn't seen this Gretsch yet!
G2622LH Streamliner Center Block Flagstaff Sunset: comfortable to hold
This Streamliner guitar has a comfortable, thin U neck with a rosewood fretboard that boasts a 12" radius, large mother-of-pearl block inlays and medium jumbo frets. Thanks to a double cutaway, even the highest frets are easy to reach. The characteristic, high-output Broad'Tron humbuckers neatly pick up your sound, providing you with a defined tone even if you play at a low volume.
Fight the feedback
As mentioned before, the G2622LH is equipped with a centre block. Hollow-body guitars tend to be prone to feedback, but this Gretsch's spruce centre block, which runs along the length of its body underneath the top, nips that problem in the bud. You'll be able to turn up the volume, and even add a healthy dose of gain, without causing any unwanted howling. Meanwhile, the guitar's independent volume knobs (for the neck and the bridge pickup) and the master volume and tone controls put you in total command of your output.

Gretsch fans can roughly be divided into two groups. On the one hand you have the purists who think the specifications from the 1950s and 1960s - the Gretsch heydays - are beyond dispute. On the other hand, you have the more practically minded guitarists who like to make modifications to their instruments. Luckily, both camps are being catered to with Gretsch's new series: the Vintage Select Editions and the Players Editions. Go for a modern classic like the G6118T-SGR or travel back in time to 1962 with the Gretsch G6119T-62GE!

Gretsch is pulling out all the stops for NAMM 2016. We're not just talking about new editions of existing guitars here, we're talking about a whole new series of guitars. The Streamliner series takes the flair and the sound of vintage Gretsch guitars, and combines them with modern-day playing comfort. Each model comes in a version with a Bigsby B60 tremolo and a version with a fixed bridge.
