General

This hand-adjusted A-Style Series RMAE40SBK-L mandolin from Ortega has been built using laminated maple and spruce before being coated in a sleek, black satin finish. The rosewood neck and fretboard can be adjusted as needed using the installed two-way truss rod and, and while a preamp hasn't been fitted to this mandolin, the built-in passive pickup is activated as soon as the instrument is plugged in to an acoustic amplifier. Tweak the chrome-plated tone and volume control pots mounted on the top of the resonant chamber to mould your stage sound to shape. This tight, gig-ready mandolin comes complete with its very own gig bag. This is the left-handed edition.
