General

The two-channel API Audio 3122V wields the power of two almost-mythical API 312 microphone preamps to shape punchy sound and guarantee an enormous headroom. Already considered a classic, this pro-preamp can take microphones, line-signals, and Hi-Z instruments and comes fully prepped for modern studio setups. Besides the XLR mic/line inputs lined up along the rear, an XLR/jack combo input has been fitted on the front panel so there's no need to reach for a patch bay. The API Audio 3122V basically supplies a small mountain of sound-sculpting options: set it up to apply that signature API punch to electric guitars as well as drums, and pull back the level pot a touch to prevent clipping the converters.
