General

The IGS Audio Pure Tube Channel is a powerful tube microphone preamp for rack installations. On the back of the unit are the two balanced XLR connections, both of which are isolated thanks to a transformer. This ensures sound quality and prevents electronic problems when connecting multiple devices. It is also equipped with a Hi-Z or high impedance input, this is right at the front allowing you to quickly connect an electric guitar or bass. The Pure Tube Channel can therefore be used to record an electric guitar with the right impedance, to later add digital effects.

Clear controls

Operation is simple and straightforward: the four switches next to the Hi-Z input let you switch between mic and line level, switch on +48 volt phantom power, reverse phase or activate the Hi-Z input. The gain and trim controls work incrementally, making it possible to recall a particular setting later, exactly as it was before. An illuminated VU meter gives a quick visual representation of the audio signal. The two gain tubes can be accessed from the back of the unit without having to open the case, making them easy to replace.
