The Yamaha UX16 is a one-in/one-out MIDI to USB interface that you can use to connect your keyboard or synthesizer to your computer for use with Cubase or Logic, for example. It's a handy way to take your keyboard experience to the next level! With the Yamaha UX16 USB MIDI interface, you can support your studio with a one MIDI OUT (16 channels) and one MIDI IN port (16 channels).

Getting started with the UX16 USB MIDI interface
Once your computer is on, you can connect the UX16, and the interface will automatically work with your computer, so no adapter is necessary. The interface is easy to control with the use of the MIDI IN-OUT and USB indicators. It is also possible to use multiple UX16s, for example if you want to use multiple synthesizers to play one piece concurrently. In total, it is possible to connect up to 16 UX16 USB MIDI interfaces at once, however a smooth work flow will depend on the capacity of the computer to which they are connected.

The driver
When you unpack this product you will find, along with the UX16, a CD-ROM. The CD-ROM contains the driver for the interface, which you can install on your computer. This program is compatible with both PC (Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista en Windows 7) and Mac (OS X 10.4 and higher).
