The result is that the Novation Launchkey 61 MK2 MIDI USB keyboard is a true stunner, with nine faders, eight control knobs, sixteen velocity-sensitive trigger pads, and an extensive transport section. The Novation Launchkey 61 MK2 is very complete, has all the features you need, and is specially designed to be fully compatible with Ableton Live.

Of course, the Novation Launchkey 61 MK2 is also compatible with other DAWs like: FL Studio, Pro Tools, Reason, Cubase, Studio One or Logic. Furthermore, the MK2 can a lot of the controlling for you, so you don't need a computer mouse to control large parts of your DAW management, and can do it with the Launchkey instead. The MK2 is specifically designed to immediately and automatically integrate with Ableton Live. You control the clips with the velocity-sensitive trigger pads that light up (RGB LEDs) according to how you assigned the clips in Ableton Live. If you don't have Ableton Live, there's no need to worry, since this Launchkey comes with a stunning software package, including amongst others: Ableton Live Lite! And don't forget the virtual instruments Novation Bass and V-Station, complemented with 4 GB of Loopmasters samples, so you can get started right away!
New features of the MK2 model
During the development stage of this MK2 model, Novation took a good look at the original Launchkey series. The new pads are specifically designed to be highly compatible with Ableton Live, and make the orientation and navigation a lot easier by showing the colour of the clip in Ableton. The MK2 also features new control knobs to adjust the parameters, offering an even better feel. Finally, this new edition of the Novation MIDI keyboard has a slightly sleeker, more universal housing than its predecessor, the MK1.

Please note:
- If you own Ableton Live (Lite), make sure you have version 9. Earlier versions do not support the InControl system.
- Even though the MIDI keyboard has a power adapter connector, an adapter is not included.
