With a wealth of synth-building knowledge backing them up, Arturia presents the third-generation of the Keylab MIDI keyboard. A solid studio workhorse, this edition of the Keylab MK3 features a set of sixty-one semi-weighted keys complete with release-velocity and aftertouch. Anyone who's already familiar with the MK2 will immediately notice the addition of an all-new full-colour graphic displays screen - a rarity in the MIDI keyboard game that brings this model bang up-to-date. As you'd expect, this unit supplies the complete control gambit: a bank of faders, encoders, performance pads and a transport section, and all if it is backed up by seamless studio integration. On top of all of that, Arturia has thrown in a fat software pack including a DAW and a stack of virtual instruments.

Wrote the following about Arturia Keylab 61 MK3 White USB/MIDI Keyboard

Eigenlijk ben ik een drummer maar na wat slechte ervaringen met bandjes (botsende ego's) ben ik verworden tot een zolderkamerdrummer en zocht ik een instrument wat solo meer zoden aan de dijk zet. Daarom druk bezig om piano te leren spelen en daarnaast met Analog Lab V en Logic Pro te prutsen (grote synth fan). Maar eerst fasoenlijk leren spelen. Arturia KeyLab MkI3 66 keys is een mooi compromis tussen de goedkopere toetsen van de Essential serie en de hammerkey's van de Mk2 88 key. Voor het laatste hebben we ook een piano staan. Ik ben erg met deze Keylab. Naast een MiniLab 3 een goede basis voor een nieuwe hobby. Mooi is dat de Keylab geen externe voeding nodig heeft (het kan wel) maar de USB-C van de iPad en MacBook geven voldoende prik om te spelen. De verfijnde en professionele keyvoard speler zal echt wel wat op te merken hebben maar voor de beginnend amateur lijkt er voorlopig geen grens te zijn aan de mogelijkheden.
