The Boss RT-2 Rotary Ensemble brings the iconic sound of a rotary speaker cabinet to a compact and versatile pedalboard, ready for modern pedalboards. Originally developed for organs, the rotary speaker has achieved legendary status thanks to its rich modulation and spatial depth. With the RT-2, you can now easily integrate that classic sound into your set-up, whether you play guitar, bass, synth or keys. Thanks to BOSS' advanced technology, this pedal is much more than a simulation: it is a convincing tribute to the original analogue phenomenon.

RT-2 Rotary Ensemble with three modes

The RT-2 excels in expression and flexibility. You choose from three modes: a faithful vintage reproduction, a wider and more spacious version for modern settings, and a powerful mode with pronounced modulation and drive. On top of that, the Drive button adds a warm, lamp-like saturation, ideal for giving your sound that extra bit of character. A handy switch lets you decide whether that knob controls distortion or just affects the balance between high and low rotor frequencies - both settings are automatically saved.

Convenient connections

Operation is thought through to the last detail. You have direct access to various speed settings via the built-in switch, and external footswitches or an expression pedal take control to the highest level. The virtual rotors are visually displayed with LEDs, so you can always see what's happening. Add stereo inputs and outputs and flexible routing options, and you have a rotary effect that more than deserves its place on any stage or in any studio.
