Strymon Zelzah Multidimensional Phaser Effect Pedal

The Zelzah phaser stompbox fires off sublime sound quality courtesy of effects masters, Strymon. This tight pedal is home to every age of phase - from the classic, all the way up to the modern. Familiar, vintage phaser is accessed via the four-band phase section on the left, where the Sweep mini-switch can be flipped through three different variations: envelope, barber, and classic, opening up fully flexible old-school effects.

The Zelzah: More than Just Classic & Modern

The intensity and speed of both modulation effects can be adjusted at will, while the Mix pot offers more in-depth tweaking of the three differently flavoured phasers on offer. As well as using the two sides independently, the 6-stage section on the right of this truly multidimensional phaser can be blended in, and when combined, you're not simply laying two phasers over one another, but mixing up a custom blend. Twist the Voice pot to the right to warp the modulation and push the phaser through a flanger-style effect or even a chorus.

Extra Options & Even More Control

To beef up the flanger-style effect a little more, a mild or intense resonance can be applied, and as you get familiar with this expansive phase factory, more and more possible mods will naturally pop up. For more hands-free control, a standard expression pedal can be hooked up, but by coupling the Zelzah up with a MultiSwitch Plus, you'll be able to scroll through three of your favourite presets in real-time. MIDI can be accessed using gear like the Conduit Midi Hub and offers ultimate control, and for a massive, spacious effect, this pedal doesn't only offer two stereo outputs, but a mono/stereo switch for the input. To finish, this Strymon-designed masterclass in guitar effects can be set up in either buffered or true bypass as preferred.
