That's what makes this BOSS MD-500 Modulation multi-effects unit such a great investment. It has no fewer than 12 of the most popular modulation effects on board including chorus, phaser and flanger. In combination with 28 algorithms and programmable parameters, it's no wonder the MD-500 is being referred to as a monster mod machine!

MD-500: authentic sound reproduction

The MD-500 offers an enticing mix of old and new. The effects were developed using the latest BOSS technology but faithfully reproduce the authentic sound of vintage classics such as the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble, the Roland Dimension D and the '70s Script Phaser. In A/B Simul mode, it's even possible to use two patches at the same time. There's also an external loop so that you can add other effects pedals and decide where you want to place the mod effects in the FX chain. For those with more advanced setups, the MD-500 is also equipped with MIDI I/O connectors.
