BOSS' VE-500 is a vocal effects pedal designed for singers who also play the guitar. It offers a wide range of vocal effects to give you the same versatility as you get when you use multi-effects on your instrument. That means you can tweak the sound of your voice and add things like pitch correction as well as harmonies. Vocoder and talkbox effects are among the possibilities too. All of these are influenced by the notes you play on the guitar. Naturally, there's a guitar thru output for sending an unprocessed signal to your effects pedals or amplifier as well.

VE-500 for the ultimate vocal performance

The harmony function can also be managed via the USB input using a MIDI keyboard, for instance. There's a de-esser, a compressor and an EQ on board that can all be used to shape your vocals and you can add up to nine different effects in all! Naturally, reverb, delay, modulation and distortion are among the many possibilities. BOSS has designed the VE-500 to sit beside the guitar effects on your pedalboard and it goes without saying that's it just as handy in the studio as it is for live performances.

You're in control

The VE-500 even has a looper on board for even greater versatility. You don't have to worry about fiddling around with lots of settings during your performance either. Simply set up sounds beforehand and save them to one of the 99 memory banks for instant recall whenever you need them. For editing effects in greater detail, the Vocal Performer can be connected to a computer via the USB input. If you're using a condenser microphone, the VE-500 will supply it with phantom power too.
