The Cock Fight pedal, a cocked talking wah pedal by Electro-Harmonix, is a unique addition to any guitarist's arsenal. With it, you can emulate the sound of a wah pedal that's in one fixed position, and adjust the frequency with a twist of the FREQ knob. To get an actual wah pedal to stay in the exact position you need can be quite a hassle, especially if you want to be able to get back to that specific sound at a later stage of your performance. That's where the Cock Fight pedal comes in.

Cock Fight: rule the roost

With the Cock Fight, Electro-Harmonix is the first company to deliver a talking wah pedal, and that is sure to help them reach an even larger group of people. You can emulate the cocked talking wah by changing the frequency and experimenting with the drive function. The cocked talking wah was famously used by Mark Knopfler, in the intro to Dire Straits' song Money for Nothing. The Cock Fight also has a built-in distortion for an even greater palette of possible sounds.

Two filters for unparalleled versatility

The Electro-Harmonix Cock Fight uses two filters: a wah filter, which creates that famous crying wah sound, and a formant filter, which emulates the cocked talking wah sound. The distortion (or fuzz) can be placed before or after the filters, and you can even take it out of the circuit entirely. Furthermore, the pedal has bottom and bias controls for even more ways to shape the sound. Finally, you can even connect an expression pedal for enhanced control, allowing you to use the Cock Fight much like a regular wah pedal.

Geen vreemde eend in de bijt deze keer maar een vechthaan!
Ik gebruik de Cock Fight niet op gitaar maar voor
Hammond-klanken, uit een Nord C2D.
Jon Lord zei ooit dat hij wou klinken zoals Ritchie Blackmore, en dat is
hem ook grotendeels gelukt.
Ik wou altijd klinken zoals Slash en dit is me nu ook gelukt.
De Talking Wah en Fuzz-functies zijn ook aardig meegenomen en maken
het daarmee een uniek en maf pedaaltje.
Ik gebruik de Cock Fight met een Boss FV-500L en hij
reageert er heel goed op. De FV-500H kan natuurlijk ook.

ik vond de sound super leuk klinken op het filmpje maar eenmaal thuis uitgetest valt hij mij toch tegen.
hij klinkt wel zoals hij moet klinken maar ik zit in een band en kan dit pedaal helemaal niet gebruiken in een van onze liedjes dus heb hem 2x gebruikt en maar weer retour gedaan.
voor de mensen die hem wel kopen
hij klinkt precies zoals in het filmpje en het is voor de rest een super sterk en goed pedaal.
