General

The Zoom AC-2 Acoustic Creator is a DI box for acoustic string instruments that is suitable for use in the studio or on stage. It ensures that the natural sound of your instrument is amplified accurately by automatically restoring any tone that is lost through the acoustic pickups so that'll you always get your instrument's authentic acoustic sound in all its glory. The AC-2 comes with the Zoom AD-16E power adapter or you can choose to power it with your computer via the micro USB port or two AA batteries.

Acoustic Creator: easy to use

The Zoom AC-2 couldn't be any simpler to use. To get started, all you have do is plug in your instrument, select it using the source guitar dial and choose the type of pickup. There are other controls on board that allow you to further customise your sound and there's even a built-in tuner should you need to tune up before playing or in between songs.

Controls

The AC-2 has a natural-sounding reverb that you can use to add an extra dimension to your instrument's acoustic sound and there's a 3-band EQ and a boost too. When it comes to outputs, you can use the single mono output or combine it with the one next to it for stereo! In addition, there's a balanced XLR output on the rear and you'll find pre/post and ground lift buttons there too. You may also be interested to know that whenever you adjust the volume, the input gain and output level are both adjusted for you automatically. As you can tell, the Zoom AC-2 Acoustic Creator makes things easy so that you can focus on your playing.

Je viens d'acheter ce Zoom AC2 , mes premières impressions sont : un bon préampli/DI avec une reverb efficace , réglages des basses, médium, aigus efficaces, un boost bien utile quand on veux donner un "petit grain" pour le blues ou pour faire un solo, tuner qui coupe le son très utile Quant aux différents présets censé modifier le son pas miraculeux c'est pour cela que je n'ai mis que 4 étoiles. Sinon boitier solide en apparence, alim livrée avec l'appareil (ce qui devient rare) et merci à Bax Music colis arrivé dans les délais prévus malgré le pont du 15 Août

Wrote the following about Zoom AC-2 Acoustic Creator DI/effect for acoustic guitar

Matériel bien conçu et simple à utiliser. Permet d'arrondir agréablement le son du piezo (sur une électro-nylon dans mon cas) et d'obtenir un réglage assez fin du son. Ne pas s'attendre à des miracles non plus, l'amélioration obtenue est vraiment subtile et ce DI/préamp ne transformera pas une gratte entrée de gamme en une guitare à 2000 euros... Le sélecteur micro piezo/micro magnétique est bien pensé et permet d'utiliser la pédale avec pas mal de guitares différentes (y-compris, pourquoi pas, une archtop électrique. J'ai essayé c'est pas si mal...). L'accordeur au pied est juste et très pratique surtout pour des guitares nylon qui on besoin d'être plus souvent ré-accordées... La fonction "boost" est utile en groupe pour jouer un thème ou prendre un chorus. La connectique est vraiment très complète ce qui est appréciable.
