Zoom LiveTrak L-6 Mixer and Multitrack Recorder
Product no: 9000-0132-2709
Product information
General
The most compact mixer ever to leave the Zoom labs, the Zoom LiveTrak L-6 functions as a mixer, a recorder and an audio interface complete with built-in effects and four sound pads, setting it up for any and all music-makers and content creators. This unit has space for hooking up two microphones plus four bits of stereo equipment fitted with line-outputs, including keyboards, synthesizers and drum machines.
The Zoom LiveTrak L-6R: A Library of Functions
The mass of functions on offer here is actually comparable with mixers three or four times the size of the L-6, but you're still getting them all. Everything is hidden beneath the set of multifunctional channel controls, which remove the need to fit a separate button for every task. Simply select the function you want to edit, say... the EQ, pan or level, and then tweak the setting by twisting the channel knob. Once everything has been set, you can save all of it to one of the three scene buttons so you can quickly call it up later, saving you masses of time and masses of extra work during soundcheck.
The Effects
Your creations can also be enriched using the bank of five on-board reverb and echo effects. Your own external effects units can also be integrated via the AUX-send connection ports and, via the four sound-pads, you can start and stop loops or sound effects from an SD card. On the mixing side of things, this unit even supplies a compressor and master section, so you're assured of tight and balanced sound, free of clipping.

Zoom LiveTrak L-6 Mixer and Multitrack Recorder
Simply 'wow' piece of kit. I could only dream of a such a small box like that capable of everything an average 'solo' guy requires. Even a guest would be able to plug in and contribute. It's not for the small bands but paired with other tools it could be. All routings in and out from a pc. Haven't tested asio yet, but don't anticipate problems there.
I think for the first (ish) time we have a device targeted not for sound producers, but for so many more people including podcasters, small studio solo creators, home synths players/recorders.
The only gripe so far is that for studio headphones the monitor sound is a bit low in volume. Can use a lower impedance phones but hey... one more amplifier chip for phones? 2 quid more? No? Ok....

Zoom LiveTrak L-6 Mixer and Multitrack Recorder
This is a very unique piece of gear. I had a chance to buy one from bax-music and tried it in a few performances and it surprised me.
I've bee using Zoom H6 for years but was looking for a multitrack recorder that can record more than 4 track simultaneously and has dedicated stereo line input for my synthesizers and there was not much option in the market until I accidentally saw a live stream from Sonicstate youtube channel where they were talking about this gear and they were so amazed about its unique features. So I got more determind to try out this very new released device. First of all I was surprised by its very detailed and brilliant recording quality. Comparing to my H6 it has more details and also more pro sound.
it's very compact and light and well built and you never feel a cheap product.
The "Scene" buttons are very brilliant and useful for live performances where you can save and recall all your setting up to 3 scene.
It has also one AUX SEND which is so useful to use effects or send your signal back to another source.
By the way, after around one month of using I'm so satisfied with this.
The only downside is that you can not change the input gain of each track when you're using it as an audio interface since it sends the audio singnals BEFORE the gain levels.

Zoom LiveTrak L-6 Mixer and Multitrack Recorder
