General
Yamaha's PSR-S650 portable keyboard- the successor of the PSR-S550 - is positively bursting at the seams with new technology. It's capable of importing and instantly using voices, drums and percussion samples, without you even switching the keyboard off and on. Once samples have been imported, they are always accessible. The enhanced MegaVoice styles that are usually only found on more expensive Yamaha instruments make sure that guitar and bass voices sound even more realistic.
FlashROM expansion
The PSRS650 features FlashROM, which allows you to store up to 16 MB of data in addition to the keyboard's 864 integrated sounds. Thanks to 181 internal backing styles, you're always able to match any playing style. It's even possible to configure the S650's tuning to match the music you're playing, using preset tunings like Arabic or Pythagorean. The options of this comprehensive portable keyboard are virtually endless - there's even a built-in 16-track sequencer that allows you to record your own songs. Once you're done, you can transfer them to your computer via USB, and edit them.
