The Korg SDD-3000 Programmable Digital Delay is an exceptionally comprehensive digital delay pedal that has been modelled after the classic SDD-3000 from 1982. In the 1980s, many rock bands used the original rack-mountable effect - no wonder you can hear its fabulous delay sounds on numerous famous songs. The main draw of the legendary effect device was the fat, highly present sound of its preamplifier, a perfect copy of which can be found in this new stompbox edition. Sometimes, guitarists would even switch the delay off to be able to fully benefit from just the sound of the preamp. Of course, the Korg SDD-3000 offers the same options as its 30-year older namesake, but throws a few extras into the deal too.

SDD-3000: new possibilities

If you loved to original version, you'll be happy to see the return of the classic preamp, filter circuit and modulation waveforms. New features include 8 different delay types (SDD-3000, analog, tape, modern, kosmic, reverse, pitch and panning) and an extra long delay time of up to four seconds. The stompbox is MIDI-compatible and offers a choice of various waveforms and mono and stereo output. As the pedal is equipped with separate controls for input and output level, and treats musicians to plenty of headroom and powerful gain settings, you're not only able to use it in combination with your guitar, but also with analogue synthesizers, keyboards and vintage effects. In short, this incredibly versatile foot effect opens up a world of possibilities.

Filters and modulation

You can use the digital delay's low/high-cut filters to increase or decrease the effect's presence. Five different modulation waveforms are at your disposal, which means you can add a chorus, vibrato and wow/flutter touch to your delay sounds. Additionally, the pedal's four foot switches enable you to navigate a total of 80 available programs. Each of these presets can be used to store your own customised delay settings, so you'll be able to switch between classic and modern sounds like lightning. Furthermore, you'll notice that delays are never cut short when you switch programs or turn the pedal off, so fluent transitions are guaranteed.
