The old-school design of the 100% analogue Echoman is probably pretty familiar to any die-hard delay fan. Which makes sense, since designer, Howard Davis has lovingly based this stompbox on the much-lauded Deluxe Memory Man from 1980. As such, the compact and durable metal box that is the Echoman grants access to dreamy sonic landscapes blended with blanket-warm chorus and endless, sound-warping feedback. Twist the Delay pot to the left for a screeching, ultra-short bedroom-style echo, then push the Delay Time all the way to hit the maximum 600ms delay time to open everything up. On top of that, a duo of built-in effects add the all-important Memory-Man-style colour of full and sultry chorus or thick and heavy vibrato, the intensity of which can be influenced using the Modulation pot. Besides buttering up your sound, the Echoman boasts high-grade filtering and a noise-dampening circuit, so as soon as it's bypassed, your sound is left squeaky clean.
