General
While the Ibanez Artcore AFS75T-TCD might look similar to other semi-acoustic guitars, it isn't. This Transparent Cherry Red hollow-bodied beauty has an arched top, double humbuckers and an Ibanez vibrato unit. What really sets it apart however, is the depth of its body that is thinner than similar models and not much thicker than a solid-body guitar. Despite this, it still delivers a full hollow-body sound.
AFS75T: wood types, sound and look
The maple body of this Ibanez Artcore model is no less than 3 cm thinner than standard, yet its sound is full and deep. The use of maple also means that this guitar's sound is well balanced with tight bass and sparkling trebles. The set-in mahogany neck ensures excellent sustain and a good degree of stability. The Transparent Cherry Red finish is a joy to behold and is complemented beautifully by the elegant white bindings on the body and neck.
Hardware
The AFS75T is equipped with the classic-looking Ibanez-designed VB70 vibrato unit that, together with the ART Roller bridge, assures excellent intonation. Six Ibanez machine heads ensure excellent tuning stability, while two Ibanez Classic Elite ceramic humbuckers are responsible for delivering the sound to your amp. Finally, there are extensive tone controls so that you can customise your sound, making this semi-acoustic model highly versatile.
