General
From the front, the Ibanez Artcore AFS75T-TRS looks like a typical semi-acoustic guitar with a gorgeous arched top, two humbuckers and an Ibanez vibrato unit. Even looking at the back won't reveal the ace up this Trans Red Sunburst beauty's sleeve. Only if you look at it from the side, you'll see that its body is quite a bit thinner than is normal for this type of guitar. The unusual thing about the Ibanez AFS75 is that it still manages to deliver a full hollow-body sound, while its sound box is hardly any deeper than that of a solid-body guitar. Simply put, the AFS75T-TRS gives you all of a hollow-body's pros, but none of its cons!
Wood types
This Ibanez Artcore guitar has a body that is 3 cm thinner than usual, and it's made entirely of maple. Because of its shape, its acoustic sound is rich and deep, while the maple balances that out with focused bass and sparkling trebles. It also features a mahogany neck that is set quite far into the body, allowing for improved sustain and increased stability. What's more, it's all finished in a deep Transparent Red Sunburst, and as a finishing touch, elegant bindings were applied to the neck, body and sound holes.
Hardware
Of course, a guitar such as this needs a classic vibrato unit, and the VBF70 vibrato, designed by Ibanez themselves, is certainly up to the job. Furthermore, the ART-Roller Bridge allows you to use the vibrato without the fear of detuning the strings, and it also helps with intonation. The headstock, meanwhile, features six ultra durable Ibanez tuners. Finally, there are two Ibanez Classic Elite ceramic humbuckers to take care of the electronic side of things. Together with the elaborate tone controls, these humbuckers allow for a wide range of different sounds, resulting in a remarkably versatile guitar!

Wrote the following about Ibanez AFS75T-TRS
Geluid zonder versterker is erg goed, helder en mooi uitgebalanceerd met voldoende bas. Er komt nog aardig wat volume uit maar niet genoeg om de buren uit bed te halen. Aangesloten op een versterker (Vox Mini5, clean geluid) komt de gitaar echt tot leven met een lekkere 'twang'. De pickups zijn helder met een goede bas. Toonregeling is goed. In de middenstand is, doordat beide pickups toon en volume regeling hebben, een grote variatie aan geluid mogelijk.
De vibrato is een door Gretsch (Bigsby) ontworpen model dat onder licensie van Gretsch door Ibanez wordt gebouwd (bron: Ibanez website). Het is dus niet een door Ibanez ontworpen vibrato zoals in de productinfo wordt vermeld. De vibrato werkt, zoals bij een Bigsby hoort, erg subtiel. Minpuntje is dat de arm nogal ver van de body staat wat het bedienen ervan tijdens het spelen ietwat belemmerd (te verhelpen door de veer te vervangen door een kortere). Persoonlijk heb ik er geen hinder van, hangt af van speelstijl.
De gitaar blijft, ook bij gebruik van de vibrato, opmerkelijk goed op stemming. De G en B snaar kunnen bij heftiger gebruik van de vibrato ietwat verstemmen omdat deze onder een hoek van de topkam naar de stemmechanieken lopen en daardoor wat in de sleuven van de kam klemmen. Erg gemakkelijk te verhelpen door wat grafietpoeder (bouwmarkt/ijzerwaren) in de sleuven van de kam te spuiten. Ook zal door slijtage dit erg kleine ongemak zichzelf verhelpen.
Al met al een erg goede gitaar voor de prijs.
Bij aanschaf van deze gitaar raad ik ten zeerste aan om de originele koffer (Ibanez AFS-C) er meteen bij te bestellen. Een koffer is een absolute must, de gitaar is naar mijn mening te kwetsbaar om in een gigbag te vervoeren. De Ibanez AFS-C koffer past als een handschoen om de gitaar en biedt een uitstekende bescherming, is erg stevig.
Verder raad ik aan: Snoer met haakse plug , strap locks, stabiele standaard.
