There are few 12-string guitars, and even fewer semi-acoustic 12-string guitars. The Duesenberg Double Cat 12-String combines both, featuring a chambered alder body and a maple top. This combination gives the overtones of a 12-string guitar a full, shimmering tone, without it becoming ponderous or uncontrollable. Despite the twelve strings, playing feels light and familiar thanks to the maple neck with a Medium D profile. Each guitar is PLEK-treated by Duesenberg, ensuring a buzz-free playing experience. The instrument is also individually tuned by a luthier, who leaves their signature on the inside of the instrument. The Vintage Burst finish, with a cream pickguard and binding, gives the guitar a refined, classic look that’s hard to miss!

Classic looks, modern build quality

The Double Cat is fitted with two custom pickups: a Duesenberg Domino P90 at the neck, and a GrandVintage Humbucker at the bridge. Thanks to the Domino P90, the guitar has a raw, open character with enough body for full, clean tones. For a bit more punch, there’s the GrandVintage Humbucker, which delivers a thicker, hum-free sound for heavier riffs. With the 3-way switch and separate volume and tone controls, you can easily switch (and blend) between both tonal characters. The Duesenberg tuning machines with knurled knobs keep the headstock compact whilst maintaining tuning precision – an absolute must for easy tuning on a 12-string guitar!
