This is the Shure A88SM, which is a shock mount for the highly popular VP88 condenser microphone, and prevents handling noise from ruining your recordings. It comes with a stand adapter (5/8" to 5/16"), a screw-type camera adapter that's suitable for most ENG cameras, and a pistol grip adapter for most popular pistol grips.
