Shure's BLX series offers affordable, but professional wireless solutions for vocals, speech and music. Combining a rack-mountable BLX4R receiver and a BLX2 transmitter with an SM58 microphone head, this wireless set is easy to set up, as it automatically syncs the two devices using the UHF band. That makes it perfect for touring musicians and engineers, even if they lack technological know-how.
Shure BLX2 Handheld Transmitter with an SM58 Microphone Capsule
From rehearsal spaces and community centres to large venues and festivals, the world-famous Shure SM58 is found anywhere. This ubiquitous microphone can be used for a wide range of applications and is insensitive to feedback. The BLX2 UHF transmitter you'll find in this set is fitted with a Shure SM58 mic head, and has a maximum range of no fewer than 100 yards. Powered by two AA batteries, the handheld microphone will function for up to 14 hours. We highly doubt your voice will last that long...
Shure BLX4R Rack-Mountable Receiver
To go with your transmitter, you'll need a receiver - in this case, the Shure BLX4R. This model can easily be mounted in a rack, and comes with the necessary rack mount materials. The BLX-4R features a clear LCD display that tells you all you need to know about audio and transmitter status, and has two powerful, detachable antennas. Finally, with a push of a button, Shure's QuickScan function automatically selects the best channels, so a clear connection is always guaranteed. The receiver's outgoing signal is transmitted to a mixer by means of an XLR or a jack connector.
