General

Shure's BLX series, which consists of various wireless transmitters and receivers, was developed to offer an affordable yet professional wireless solution for vocals, speech and music. This wireless set is composed of a BLX2 transmitter with an SM58 microphone head and a compact BLX4 receiver. It communicates using the UHF band, and setting it up is a piece of cake. The models are light, but very durable and ideal for musicians and technicians that often change location.

Shure BLX2 handheld transmitter with SM 58 microphone capsule

The SM58 needs no further explanation, you can find it anywhere! It's insensitive to feedback, accurately reproduces vocals and speech, and never lets you down. The BLX2 UHF handheld transmitter you'll find in this set is fitted with a Shure SM58 capsule, ensuring a maximum range of no fewer than 100 yards. The BLX2 has a lightweight housing but is very durable. Two AA batteries guarantee a maximum of 14 hours of singing and speech. We have yet to witness a gig this long!

Shure BLX4 receiver

The Shure BLX2 transmitter communicates with the BLX4 wireless receiver out of this set. The receiver is very compact and equipped with powerful internal antennas, so that you won't have to endlessly rotate and adjust antennas in the hope that reception improves. Shure's QuickScan function automatically syncs the handheld transmitter to the receiver, and is even capable of finding a free channel when there's a lot of bandwidth traffic. The output signal of your receiver can be sent to a PA mixer by means of an XLR or 1/4" jack connector.
