General

The Neumann KMR 81 i is a high-quality shotgun microphone for ENG and dialogue recordings. In many other shotgun microphones, the interference tube not only makes the microphone more focused, it also creates the necessary colouration in the sound. In particular, sounds from the side often sound unnatural. This is not the case with the KMR 81 i. With this directional microphone, you record a clear and natural voice from several metres away. Background noise is largely reduced and what you still hear sounds natural and undistorted. For outdoor recordings, we recommend using the supplied windshield.
