The Golden Age Audio FC4 MC small-diaphragm condenser microphone comes complete with two extra capsules, giving you the pick of three different mic patterns: cardioid, hyper-cardioid and omnidirectional. The extremely focussed hyper-cardioid capsule boasts maximum isolation from ambient noise, while the omnidirectional capsule sounds the most natural and gives you true-to-life recordings of acoustic instruments. The cardioid capsule falls somewhere in between and will be most sound engineers' go-to for most jobs. The FC4 MC also features a built-in a high-pass filter for shutting the door on excess lows as well as a -10dB attenuator and comes including a shock-mount so you can counter contact noise.
