Equipped with RF bias technology, the Sennheiser MKH 8090 condenser microphone is virtually fully resistant to temperature and humidity fluctuations, making it a great pick whether you're capturing sound in the studio or out in the open. This Sennheiser mic has a wide-cardioid pickup pattern, which sits somewhere between cardioid and omnidirectional and gets you a broad-and-open sound yet still packs some focus. An interesting choice for sound-designers, the MKH 8090 boasts a 30 to 50,000 Hertz frequency response which means it's able to record sounds that won't become audible until the recording is pitched down in post-production.
