Samen met de G1 voor mij de 2 beste snaredrumvellen van Evans. Het vel is duurzaam door de dot, heeft daar uiteraard meer focus en minder boventonen. De dot is niet direct zichtbaar, omdat deze wit is. De coating gaat lang mee. Qua klank houd ik van vel met een enkele laag, zoals deze. Het geeft iets meer focus, maar je kunt nog steeds alle kanten op met een beetje gel of andere demping (indien noodzakelijk).

Wrote the following about Evans B14G1RD 14-inch Power Center Reverse Dot Snare Drumhead

Eigenlijk de Evans versie van de Remo coated Controlled Sound (ook wel CS DOT of CS Black Dot genaamd). Qua geluid tussen deze 2 vellen zit niet heel veel verschil, behalve dat ik de Evans versie iets droger en meer een gefocust geluid vindt hebben. De Remo CS heeft meer ring vergeleken met dit vel. De coating blijft echter beter zitten en schilfert er na intensief gebruik niet af.
Maakt niet heel veel uit, maar ik vind het wel grappig dat je de dot niet ziet zitten (omdat deze doorzichtig is). Lijkt dus net een 'gewoon' gecoat vel, maar je hoort/merkt het verschil als je in het midden mept ;)
