General
This PDP Drums Concept Series Metal snare drum is great to use as your main snare, but also definitely as a side snare with higher or just lower tuning than your main snare. The shell is made of 1 mm thick rolled steel and black nickel-plated finish, resulting in a snare with hefty volume projection and wide dynamic range. The string mat is chrome-plated and fitted with brass end-plates, giving you a lot of control over ghost notes, for instance, and the sustain is also nice and short and clear. As is usual with PDP, the shell is fitted with high-quality DW hardware.
