General

The Optogate PB-05 D is a smart, automatic microphone gate/ducker that you connect between your microphone and XLR cable. Using an infrared sensor, it detects whether you are standing in front of the microphone and passes the signal through; if you move away, the microphone is automatically muted. Ideal for lead and backing vocals, talkback and acoustic instruments: less crosstalk, greater clarity in the mix and a lower risk of feedback. Operates on 24–48V phantom power and passes phantom power through to the microphone.
