General

With a new Dream Theater album on the way, it's obviously time for Sabian to sit down with Mike Portnoy again. After releasing the original "Max" splashes over 25 years ago, these new "MAXX" splashes feature a new design, shape and larger calyx and serve as an evolution on the previous splashes. This new 11-inch MAXX splash has a larger, rough calyx and a different shape, so it projects more volume without having too much pitch. This makes the splash very percussive and versatile.
