Tascam Trackpack 4x4

General

The Tascam Trackpack 4x4 recording set is essentially a studio in a box! It features a US-4x4 USB interface with four inputs and four outputs so you can connect the two TM-80 condenser mics, which come complete with shock mounts. The set also includes two sets of TH-02 headphones and two Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) to choose from for recording and mixing: Steinberg Cubase LE and Cakewalk Sonar LE!

Trackpack 4x4: high-quality interface

The US-4x4 USB interface makes use of four ultra-HDDA microphone preamps that keep static and other unwanted noise to a minimum. This means that the signal can be amplified up to 57 dB to allow even the most subtle audio to come through. It's equipped with four XLR/TRS inputs so you can connect your instrument directly or record using one of the microphones. There is also a MIDI input and output so you can record from an external device. The Trackpack 4x4 is compatible with Mac OSX, Windows as well as iOS mobile devices (like the iPad).

Playing and listening

Thanks to the two TM-80 large-diaphragm condenser microphones, you can make incredible recordings with the Trackpack 4x4. These mics ensure a rich, full sound and capture everything between 20 Hz and 20 kHz, which means they're suitable for vocals as well as acoustic instruments like guitar, piano, or even a drum kit. With the TH-02 headphones, you can hear what you're playing or what you've already played; all you need to do is install the software and the rest is up to you!
