General

With the CMS-65, Focal wanted to issue a speaker that's capable of reproducing a good deal of bass. To ensure an impressive low-frequency range, they fitted it with a 6.5-inch woofer, so you won't need an additional subwoofer when you're working in a small room. The active studio monitor's inverted dome tweeter delivers pleasant trebles that never turn shrill, and effortlessly handles high volume levels.

Bi-amp amplifier technology makes sure that the monitor's input signal is instantly processed. That way, the CMS-65's separate high and low-frequency amps each receive the signal they were intended for, allowing for ultra-efficient audio reproduction. You'll be able to make the most of your speakers, resulting in an astonishing sound pressure level of 112 dB.

Een van de beste speakers in deze prijsklasse. Ze laten je hard werken, maar het resultaat is altijd zeer goed!

Top speakers! Heb geupgrade van KRK Rokit 6 naar deze en dat is (zoals verwacht) een enorm verschil. Ik zat te twijfelen tussen deze Focal's of de Neumann KH-120 A. Uiteindelijk is mijn keus gevallen op deze focal's omdat het laag hier verder doorloopt, wat handig is voor EDM.

Het hoog is enorm gedetailleerd, stereo beeld erg goed (stuk beter dan mijn KRK's). Het laag is ook een verademing, zo veel strakker en gedetailleerd! Een hele grote aanrader voor in dit prijsgebied.

Ik heb deze CMS65 speaker al ruim een jaar en ben nog steeds erg tevreden. Heb je de kans om ze beluisteren ga dat dan zeker doen. Geen moment van irritatie van hoge of lage tonen bij lang luisteren.
Diverse instellingen voor frequentie's zijn aan de achterzijde mogelijk. Aan de achterzijde zit ook de aan/uit schakelaar en de voorzijde stand-by/aan schakelaar. Audio aansluiting voor zowel cinch (tulp) als XLR. Ook op de voorzijde een clipping-led en een volumeregeling.
