While the VM-50 is the follow up to Pioneer's professional S-DJ series monitors, in terms of performance and design, it might as well be a trillion light-years ahead. This active, DJ-focussed monitor has been finished with an angular face-plate that bears a closer resemblance to a club speaker than a DJ or studio monitor, and since the VM-50 is the smallest member of the VM Series line-up, this 60 Watt near-field monitor has been fitted with a 5-inch woofer, making it perfect for completing the audio set-up in smaller spaces.

What sets the VM Series monitors so far apart in terms of both acoustic design and performance is that, while they're labelled DJ monitors, they perform with just as much proficiency when set up as studio monitors. This is definitely due to the audio flexibility provided by the digital sound processors. The DSP loaded into each model provides a sweet fistful of unique audio settings that have been specifically calibrated for unique situations.
