General

Twisted Electrons' Acid8 MKII is a hybrid digital and analogue synthesizer controlled by a powerful step sequencer. It has no fewer than 16 waveforms to choose from and an 8-bit oscillator at its heart that can be manipulated to the extreme. Up to 5 DSP effects can be applied at once and you can invert bits of the digital signal to create crazy harmonics and effects. The envelope modulation can be linked to pitch for percusssive sounds and more.

Acid8 MKII

All signals beyond the oscillator are fully analogue with punchy VCA and a gritty resonant low pass filter. The step sequencer is easy to use and offers all of the functionality you'd expect to find. It's possible to make changes in real time without having to stop the sequencer first and you can easily connect different patterns together to create full-length songs.

Digital and analogue

For more comprehensive editing, you can connect your Acid8 MKII to a computer. Then, you'll be able to adjust waveforms and effects using software that's free to download. The synth is equipped with MIDI and sync inputs and outputs as well as an audio output making it easy to incorporate into your existing setup and it comes complete with a power adapter.
