General
For recording speech, it is very important that your microphone is sturdy. You will hear it immediately if someone is holding a microphone in their hands, which of course makes the recording a lot less pleasant to listen to. AKG has created a very compact stand for people who record commercials and voice overs that will fit on any desk. The stand is basically a heavy-duty base that features a screw mount for a microphone clip, which ensures that you don't have to lose a tripod in your studio. The stand itself is weighted so you can attach any type of microphone to the stand without it toppling over due to the weight. A very sturdy solution that also saves you a lot of space.
