General
People often say that learning a string instrument means months of practice before anything recognisable comes out. A ukulele is a different story: it is small, it is handy, and with four nylon strings it is one of the friendliest instruments to start on. So why not begin a size up straight away? The CUC107 from Cascha is a concert ukulele, which gives you a little more room than the familiar soprano size. With a scale length of 38 cm and a total length of 61 cm, it is still compact enough to pick up off the sofa on a whim. An advanced player will get on with it well too, which is a nice bonus.
Linden wood, Aquila strings and a bag
The top, sides, back and neck are made of linden wood, and the matte finish keeps the grain visible under the pink colour. The fretboard and bridge are made of WPC, while the nut is white synthetic material and measures 3.5 cm across. On the headstock you will find precise guitar-style tuning mechanisms, and together with the high-quality Aquila nylon strings they hold the standard G-C-E-A tuning, which saves you a lot of retuning between songs. Three plectrums are already in the box, and the padded gig bag is there for the days you play your ukulele somewhere other than at home.
