General

Whereas a standard tenor ukulele has four single strings, the Ortega Bonfire Series RU4MM-TE-8 comes with eight strings. In doing so, the lowest strings get an octave companion and the higher strings an extra string with the same tone, giving a fuller, richer sound with a natural chorus-like tone. Very similar to the effect of a 12-string guitar, but in the compact size of a tenor ukulele. Ortega has built the body of the ukulele entirely from mahogany. This results in a warm, round tone that suits strumming and melody playing well. And the fingerboard and bridge made of black walnut give a clear and direct articulation when pressing the notes. In short: the Ortega Bonfire Series RU4MM-TE-8 is a versatile tenor ukulele for beginners and advanced players. Perfect for the player looking for more depth than you get with a traditional four-string ukulele!
