General

The Roland XS-1HD matrix switcher is half the size of a 13-inch notebook, but it offers a lot of power and flexibility for such a compact device. Using Matrix Mode, you can toggle between four sources (projector, LCD display, computer and camera for instance) and send the outgoing signal to four separate outputs. Things like image transitions, synchronisation, or scaling video material is done with the push of a button. What's more, the XS-1HD is also equipped with an 8-channel audio mixer so that you can edit the audio from four HDMI channels and an analogue stereo channel.

Intuitive layout

The XS-1HD's control panel clearly indicates which function is connected to which specific purpose. This means you can adjust four different inputs using all the editing capability that's available. A handy bonus is the possibility to load images directly and store your preferred settings on a USB stick. The controls light up whenever a video signal comes in and the 'screen mode' indicates the selected screen functionality: switcher, split or matrix. Fast editing possibilities

The practical 'quick edit' buttons on the control panel offer fast and easy access to the controls for editing audio and video channels. This way you won't have to continually switch back to the menu, which saves a lot of time and won't disturb your workflow. Scaling and determining the picture-in-picture position is done with a simple turn of a knob or touch of a button. You can also mix analogue audio signals (via the RCA connectors) with the HDMI signal. There's also the possibility to slow down the video for easy lip-syncing.
