General

Saxophonists are sure to love Roland's AE-10 digital wind instrument. It puts no less than 40 preset and customisable tones right at your fingertips using traditional sax fingering. Brass instruments, brass sections, strings and even synth sounds are all part of the rich and varied sound palette with which you can embellish your music. For optimal comfort and ultimate control, the mouthpiece has a reed structure with a sensitive breath sensor.

AE-10 Aerophone: nuance, dynamics, articulation and sounds

Thanks to Roland's specially-developed and patented SuperNATURAL sound technology, subtle nuances can be added to your playing with a broad dynamic range and solid articulation. You can easily make the AE-10 sound like a soprano, alt, tenor or baritone saxophone. All can be transposed instantly into any key without having to worry about the fingering. If you'd rather hear the sound of another wind instrument instead, the AE-10 can reproduce instruments like the flute, the trumpet, the clarinet or even string instruments like the violin.

Connectors and operation

The AE-10 Aerophone has Roland's most recent synth sounds on board too, and all have been optimised for use with this special digital wind instrument. As well as built-in monitor speakers, there's a headphone socket so that you can practise in silence. The display makes the AE-10 easy to operate and changing instruments is simple too. Six AA batteries give you enough juice to play for up to seven hours! Alternatively, the AE-10 can be powered using the included adapter. Should you wish to connect it to a computer, that can be done using the USB port, and there's even a stereo mini jack aux input to let you play along with tracks from an external sound source.

Merci
