General

If you have always been a fan of the preamps used in the API consoles of the 1970s including the Model 1608, then you can now bring that same sound into your home with the API 212L. This microphone preamp is based on the same electronics, making for similar sound quality. For instance, it uses the API 2520 Op-Amp and stepless gain control. An LED meter provides you with the right information regarding the input signal and high-quality transformers on the inputs and outputs are not missing either. To keep the incoming signal under control, you will find a 20 dB pad switch and it also ensures a balanced load between transformer and microphone. Finally, the L200 format allows this API module to fit neatly into an L200 rack.
