General

You want a unique sound, so influencing the frequency range of a signal forms an important role. The API 215L passive sweep filter can give you a good hand with that. This filter allows you to deploy a low-pass filter with a steepness of 6 dB per octave and a double high-pass filter with a steepness of 12 dB per octave. The frequency range of the low-pass filter is between 500 Hz to 20 kHz, and that of the high-pass filter is between 20 Hz to 600 Hz, meaning there is plenty of room to colour a signal to taste. Both filters are separated from each other by a buffer of transistors like you find in the famous 550-series equalisers. The input section is balanced and API 2510 op-amps are used for that. For the output section, which is of course also balanced, API 2520 op-amps are used. The size of this module ensures that it will easily fit in an L200 rack, but placing it in a Legacy, Legacy Plus or Vision Series console is also possible.
