General

There aren't tons of electro-acoustic bass guitars out there to choose from, and the ones that are available tend to fall in the budget category. The Guild B-140E, on the other hand, is a high-quality instrument for real bass aficionados. This model is part of the Westerly Collection, and as such it's been built out of solid spruce and mahogany for rich intonation with plenty of volume. It also features a comfortable C-profile neck and a 34-inch scale length for a familiar feel and optimal playing ease. Thanks to the beautiful details, this bass is just as nice to look at as it is to play.

Guild B-140E: Fishman Sonitone pickup

Guild chose to equip the B-140E with an active Sonitone Soundhole Pickup system by Fishman for a rich sound. It gives you the option to adjust your sound in detail as well, via the volume and tone controls. Of course, this bass also stands its ground in purely acoustic situations, thanks to the all-solid construction, which ensures you get plenty of volume and resonance. The sides and back of the bass are made of solid mahogany for supple lows, and the spruce top fills the sound out nicely with a bright accent.

Guild Westerly Collection

The famous Guild brand - that has been building high-quality instruments since 1953 - offers acoustic guitars that hark back to the early models with the Westerly Collection. Each of the steel-string guitars in the series feature all solid woods and are equipped with a number of tasteful, luxurious visual details. The head sports the traditional 'Chesterfield' emblem and all of the guitars have the trusted tortoise pickguard. The Westerly series offers top-quality acoustic guitars that represent excellent value for money. A matching Guild Polyfoam case comes as standard.
