Electro Voice has designed this ZLX-15P active speaker with a clear vision in mind. It had to be lightweight, it had to deliver a lot of power for use on stage, and it had to have better sound quality than the majority of other speakers in its class. Bought 2 of these and they are really good speakers. They get very loud and have a solid amount of bass. The dsp also works a treat and was one of the main reason I went with this speaker. The housing of the speakers look very professional compared to other speakers of a similar price. The build quality so far seems very good, it is made of plastic but that is expected of this price. Only negative thing is that when using the built in preset EQ, the highs sound a bit harsh but this can be adjusted. Another thing to note is that there is no fan but instead ventilation ports at the top and bottom of the amplifier section at the back of the unit. This shouldn't be a problem for regular use but during very hot weather it could be a problem. Also one of the speakers did arrive faulty, though Bax Music exchanged this quickly with a new one.

These are however a brilliant pair of speakers and I would recommend them to anyone. Electro Voice have being making speakers for over 50 years and I can see why they are still in the business

This piece of equipment is top notch. I bought 2 of these but I have reasons to believe that bax gave me one brand new and the other must have been used already! The packaging of the 2 speakers are completly different- and the box of the other one is heavily damaged. It's a mixed review. Another thing- I fired them up, same settings and one started clipping and the other is not! For the price I paid I could only hope for a brand new gear.
