Mackie DLM8 active full-range 2-way speaker

General

Mackie's compact DLM8 active full-range 2-way speaker has an 8-inch woofer and a 1.75-inch compression driver supported by a digital DPL processor. Its output capacity is 2000 watts with a maximum PLS of 125 dB, resulting in a frequency range of 65 to 20,000 Hz (-10 dB). What's truly unique about the DLM8 is its integrated TruSource technology, which means the tweeter is actually located inside the woofer instead of in top. As a result, you won't have any sound collisions and the audio is produced in one continuous wave. The DLM8 is therefore ideal for background music in the pub or as a monitor in the studio.

Functionality

Mackie’s DLM8 has a built-in DL2 digital 2-channel mixer with various connection options, such as XLR and mic/line. It also has six different speaker modes and sixteen effects that are applicable depending on the size of the room. What's more, you can control the volume for each individual audio channel. You've also got an equalizer at your disposal that lets you program three preferred settings. The integrated DLP processor has the same settings, but you can also adjust the crossover with great precision, which makes the DLM8 compatible with other brands as well.

Positioning

Due to the compact size of the DLM8, which is about 33% smaller than most 2-way speakers, you can position it in a variety of ways. Place it on a distance rod, speaker stand or wall bracket thanks to the integrated stand flange. You can also position it at an angle and use it as a monitor with the de built-in swivel stand. Finally, you can also fly the DLM8 from the ceiling with the three M10 rigging points. The sky is the limit with the Mackie DLM8!
