General

The SRM 650 by Mackie is an active full-range speaker built like a tank and designed for heavy music. Thanks to the 15mm-thick poplar housing, you can rest assured that it's rugged and will last. It features a 15-inch woofer for impressive bass reproduction that starts as low as 39 Hz, the tweeter provides sparkling trebles, and a 1.4-inch horn provides adequate sound dispersion. A built-in Class D amplifier delivers a peak power of 1600 W (800 W RMS).

SRM650: Powerful

This Mackie speaker provides a nice dose of DSP processing to the amplified audio signal, which in turn ensures that you get a balanced sound, protected from thermal overload. You have the choice of four different speaker modes so you can optimise the frequency curve for PA, DJ, vocal or solo amplification needs and of course, there's a built-in Feedback Destroyer that automatically eliminates annoying feedback.

Versatile

When we say that this speaker is flexible, we're not just referring to the 60-degree monitor corner design. Two combo-XLR connectors and RCA inputs offer extensive connectivity and the gain control (Wide-Z) lets you set up your signal strength (be it from microphones or MP3 players) to perfection. As far as setup is concerned, you can work with up to two SR 650s and mount them on stands. Installation is made easy thanks to the M10 mounting points, and you can also use a distance rod to place the speaker above the optional SRM 1850 subwoofer.
