Compact, affordable and Adam-grade quality...the Adam D3V is an excellent desktop studio monitor as well an excellent addition to Adam's beefy S-Series units and popular T-Series monitors. Here, you get a pair of D3V's that include one passive unit and one active unit.

Features of the Adam D3V Studio Monitor

The D3V is no exception so, completely in line with Adam tradition, features a built-in ribbon tweeter for extremely accurate and satisfying treble reproduction. This special tweeter has been teamed up with a 3.5" woofer and a passive radiator on the side, giving you a frequency response that begins just below the 50Hz mark — not too shabby for a relatively small woofer! Equipped with a stereo jack input as well as a USB-C port, the active unit can be hooked up to an audio interface or, if you're fine skipping DA/AD conversion, connected directly to your laptop or computer.

Wrote the following about Adam D3V BK Active Studio Monitors (Set of 2)

I take the output of the my Yamaha Clavinova's aux outs to the D3V balanced inputs. The overall sound is richer and complements the Clavinova speakers well. Would probably improve the sound of most digital pianos. The bass output of the D3V is particularly impressive given its size.
I also use the D3vs to play .wav files on my PC via the USB-c input. Again the sound is excellent and does not cause any fatigue. They fill a medium size room easily.
Would highly recommend the D3Vs.

Goed, goed en goed. Fijn geluid: lage, midden een hoge tonen goed in balans. Het formaat wordt ook erg gewaardeerd. Prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is meer dan terecht.

Ik ben iemand die zich normaalgezien nooit bezighoud met het schrijven van reviews, maar deze keer kan ik niet anders. Ik ben buitengewoon verrast door de klank van de Adam D3V BK. Muziek waar ik al jaren naar luister op allerhande geluidssystemen klinkt als "nieuw" gespeeld door deze adams. Wat zeer handig is zijn de 3 schuifschakelaars achteraan, die als EQ kunnen functioneren indien nodig. Wat het meeste opvalt is hoe luid en hoeveel bas deze monitors te bieden hebben, én superheldere high frequenties die door de ribbontweeter komen. Achteraan 2 gebalanceerde 6.3 in én usb C poort, superhandig. Ik ga me denk ik nog een 2de set kopen, want deze klinken fenomenaal!
